Important Census & Stewardship Information
- Census: When we have a change to our address, phone number, or family information we may not always think to make the church aware of those changes so we will be providing you with this opportunity the weekends of April 24-25 and May 1-2 after the Masses. We would also like an email address if you have one. This will allow the office to send many of our regular mailings, such as the ministry schedules and year’s end tax letter by email. This will also be saving the parish in postage, paper, envelopes, and time. It also allows us be better stewards of parish resources.
- Stewardship: In the same way our church’s liturgical year cycles every three years focusing on the different Gospels, we can hear those same readings and each time come away with something new. The same applies to Stewardship. We are all at different places in our lives with our own set of unique circumstances. However, we all share one thing. All is gift…and God calls each of us to be good stewards of the many blessings we have been given…stewards of our natural resources, our time, our talents, and our finances. St. Pius is blessed with many wonderful ministries which require a portion of our resources, whether it be time/talent or finances. We must consider what will be required if we wish to see these ministries continue to grow and flourish.
- Even as a church, we must operate as a business. The Pastor, Staff, Pastoral Council and Finance Committee are charged with the task of managing the resources we have been blessed with. In the same way your household must operate within a budget, the church must as well. We know the coming year brings a significant increase in our utility costs, insurance, and the diocesan assessment. Your Stewardship pledge will assist the leadership of the parish to plan and budget as needed.
- If each of our 630 household increased their financial gift by $2.00 a week it would generate an additional $65,000 in revenue. For some families that increase is not possible, but others are capable of more. Please do not think that any gift is too small or insignificant. Remember
- Please prayerfully review the information provided in your Stewardship packet and consider the ways you will give back to God through time, talent, and treasure. Current ministry information will be deleted from parish files so we ask that you please sign up for all ministries you wish to be involved in (even if you are currently involved). Please return the Commitment Form by May 17.You may do so by dropping it in the collection basket, bringing it by the office, or mailing it in (we included a self-addressed envelope for this purpose).
- Stewardship information is also available on our website at: http://www.stpiustenthparish.org. Just click on the Stewardship link. The Commitment Form is interactive and will be submitted to the parish office.
